Youtuber with 20 million followers plants 20 million trees
Famous youtuber Jimmy „Mr. Beast“ Donaldson promised, that is he reaches the 20 million followers mark, then he will plant the same amount of trees. He did both!
Together with his friend Mark Rober, who also films videos on Youtube, created a project called TeamTrees, whose goal was to obtain by the end of 2019 the amount of money needed to plant a huge number of trees.
By their actions, these two guys inspired so many people that they did it before Christmas of that year. Several famous personalities contributed greatly, including Elon Musk.
Jimmy and Mark could then give money to the Arbor Day Foundation, which will ensure that the trees would be planted by the end of 2022, In all places in need over all the continents except for Antarctica.
We are grateful that there are influencers who are using their influence for a good cause. Congratulations to Jimmy for a great project and accomplishing his goal very fast.
